WCSC Academy Soccer

Water Cities Youth Academy

Our Academy program is geared towards motivated and skilled 7-10 year old players that would like the opportunity to experience some higher level coaching and get a feel for what club soccer in our league is like.

We follow the US Youth Soccer Curriculum and also NSCAA standards for coaching each age group. We develop these young athletes with proven methods while also keeping it fun!

Currently the East Central Soccer District holds play dates in both spring and fall that cover three age groups.

  • U8 Kids born in 2010 and 2011
  • U9 Kids born in 2009
  • U10 Kids born in 2008

We intend pool roster these kids and train each age group together. Training will be twice a week through each season, Fall and Spring. There will also be winter training opportunities and teams are encouraged to take part in indoor soccer programs.

We will form teams from the age groups for East Central Play and for Tournament play as any particular team may desire.

Two League Seasons

We have lowered our Full Season Academy Fee to $50!!

This year we are going to offer the best rate in the area for our Youth Academy League. The Board has decided to subsidize this program for our youngest players to help build up participation.

Our small fee of $50 includes everything to play in the Academy league and work with our licensed coaches! It includes Registration, Insurance, Referee Fee's, Field Painting, Uniforms for both Fall and Spring league play. If a team decides to enter a tournament that is the only thing that is not covered in this fee. Sign up now! Registration closes in Early August!

What is the purpose of our Youth Academy?

  • Provide soccer players, who have aspirations of becoming a more accomplished player, an avenue to test and enhance their skills.
  • Provide soccer players an opportunity to train with experienced coaches.
  • Provide soccer players an opportunity to investigate the level of play with which they are comfortable, how they fit in with other teams, and for which coaches they would like to play.

Academy players must register with their home club. Clubs that develop academy teams must comply with the rules of the league(s) in which they participate. Generally, clubs will develop academy teams in the U8 to U10 age groups.

Clubs should be clear that the young players within their own academy are those who desire to learn and play at a higher level. Clubs should help parents and players recognize that an academy program is available for players wishing to participate in high level soccer training and playing opportunities. Soccer academies are to be used for training not recruiting. No formal contract or written commitment may be signed by or on behalf of a player to commit a player to an academy team.

Soccer academy teams may desire the ability to utilize flexible rostering (club passes, or rostering “across” age groups) which allows for the movement of players based on the changing dynamics of team competitiveness and player development. Our Academy teams participate in the East Central Academy Play dates in both Fall and Spring.
